Bug Description

Binary package hint: acpi

I have an Aopen 1559-AS with a Geforce Go 6600.
I am using the latest Gutsy release with linux kernel 2.6.22-11-generic.

Whenever I try to resume from suspend I always get a black screen and even ctrl-alt-backspace wont work. However the one thing that works is my mouse and the cursor is visible. So what I see when resuming from suspend, is basically a black screen with a working white mouse-cursor.

Hibernate does not work properly either, but I really don't care about this one. Suspend is most important to me.

Now suddenly ctrl-alt-backspace works and X is working, but it is still irritating to have to do ctrl-alt-backspace each time I resume from suspend.

I have the same problem. Standby resumes to a black screen, and Hibernate never finished. the computer just stays on with a black screen.
