Bug Description
Binary package hint: openoffice.org
Currency formated cell. When a negative value is entered and then the right arrow key is pressed, the previous cell shows the number and the reference to the new cell is appended to the value in the cell...IE. -1.23D4. Also, when you go back the incorrect cell you cannot just enter the correct value you have to remove the contents of the cell first.

On Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy) I was able to reproduce the reference to the new cell being appended but when I went back to the original cell it was very easy to remove the reference to that cell without retyping the entire number. So perhaps the issue you are seeing is fixed in OpenOffice 2.3.0 which is in Ubuntu 7.10?
Thanks,
