Bug Description
Binary package hint: pidgin
Repro steps:
1- run pidgin in KDE
2- have it notify you when email comes in to a Yahoo mail account
3- click on the message "you have 1 new mail"
4- click "close"
5- click on some other window to set focus to another app
6- Notice that the Pidgin button on the main task panel starts blinking for attention. But when I return focus to Pidgin, nothing seems to need attention. There seems to be no way to appease it or make it to stop asking for focus. As soon as I do something else, it wants attention again.
Notes:
There seem to be other repros that will get it into this annoying state.
This was a problem with Gaim in KDE too.

There is another case where attention-state (urgency flag) is not reset properly:
1. open pidgin in gnome, ubuntu 7.10
2. use tabbed layout, have a conversation with a few buddy
3. focus any other application
4. one buddy writes a Instant message
5. pidgin window wants attention
6. focus the window and tab, read the message, don't answer the message (because it is like "ok" or something)
7. switch back to another application
8. pidgin still want's the focus! it is only reset if you type something as a answer
