Firefox errors at startup and does not load bookmarks or plugin preferences

Bug Description
When starting up the latest Firefox from Gutsy's repos (2.0.0.
After I click through the dialog box that pops up, Firefox loads, but most of my prefs aren't loaded, including all of my bookmarks.
The bookmarks don't get loaded even after I manually import bookmarks.html, which still exists and contains all of my bookmarks.
Also, StumbleUpon acts as if it's signed off and almost all plugins which store text preferences (ForecastFox, etc.) don't load either.
The files are all still there and still have all the prefs. Any ideas about what's wrong?

Upon further experimentation, it seems that Firefox wipes out the bookmarks.html file anytime that the error comes up.
I'm going to try wiping out my profile folder and saving all the important stuff, then creating a new one to see if that helps the situation any.
