can't make links/follow links to/on vfat partitions

Gutsy updated 19. sept., Nautilus 2.20.0
I cannot:
* make a link to a file on a vfat partition
* follow an existing link (.lnk file) in a vfat partition
basically there are no link features implemented/working with vfat partitions.
