Bug Description

current build number: 191
device name: krillin
channel: ubuntu-touch/ubuntu-rtm/14.09-proposed
last update: 2015-01-12 08:18:52
version version: 191
version ubuntu: 20150112
version device: 20150107-5ffb790
version custom: 20141216-484-22-169

webbrowser-app: 0.23+15.04.20141212~rtm-0ubuntu1

When apps are killed because the device runs out of memory, webapps very frequently do not recover correctly and show a blank page instead of the app when the app is switched to foreground (for example google maps in the screenshot attached).
The minimum expected behaviour is to restore the app and this app must be working.

Test Case:
1. Open several web apps
2. Make the device run out of memory
3. Switch between apps

Expected behaviour
The apps are restored when they are brought to foreground

Actual Behaviour
Frequently webapps are blank

I’m not able to reproduce on krillin with image #191: I can easily make the device run out of memory with a number of webapps open, but when I switch between apps, they all recover well (sometimes a blank page is shown for a second or two, but it eventually reloads the page fine).

I can reproduce a slightly different issue described by ogra: if I open the G+ app and scroll down all the way to the bottom of the page so that it starts loading more content, 5 or 6 times in a row, the renderer process eventually crashes (probably hitting an OOM condition), and it won’t recover by switching back and forth between other open applications. Bug #1375272 is related to this.

However this is a different issue than the one reported here, which I still can’t reproduce.
