Bug Description
Binary package hint: samba
OOTB behaviour:
Right-click on file, share, (install samba), uncheck 'read only'.
I can access the share locally via smb.
I can get a login box from other systems on the network, but no user:pass combination that I know works.
I know that a SMB user can be added from the command line, however, I would like to be able to tell people that windows shares in Ubuntu 'just work', like a lot of other stuff in Ubuntu 'just works'.

I agree this has to be fixed
