Bug Description

Binary package hint: msttcorefonts

When doing a dist-upgrade from feisty to gutsy today, I was waiting for the upgrade to start for a while before I decided to open the "Terminal" section of the "Distribution Upgrade" window. I found that msttcorefonts was asking a debconf question using the console, rather than GTK. update-manager didn't know it was waiting for user input, and the upgrade would have presumably hung forever until I opened the terminal and pressed return.

msttcorefonts uses debconf. I don't think msttcorefonts can influence which frontend debconf chooses (console, gtk). I therefore think this is not a bug in msttcorefonts.

Setting status back to "new", as I don't see why it was marked "incomplete". The definition of incomplete is:
# If you have to ask the reporter questions, set the bug to Incomplete
# Ask the submitter to provide any necessary information in a comment, and make sure you subscribe yourself to the bug report so you will get any updates to the bug via e-mail.
# In the event that a bug has been in the "Incomplete" state for more than 4 weeks, meaning it has not received a response to a request for more information, the bug status should be changed to "Invalid"

Is this symptom still reproducible in 8.10 RC or later?

I didn't have msttcorefonts installed when I did the upgrade from hardy to intrepid yesterday, so I don't know if it occurs there, too.

Since the problem couldn't be replicated on the current version, I'm marking this "invalid". Please set status back to "new" and provide info if you can recreate this bug.
