Bug Description

Binary package hint: guarddog

Gutsy alpha + current updates:

I work with Gnome and installed Guarddog. But Guarddog icon is not in Gnome menu nor is it in Gnomes settings/administration menu.

Expected behavior:

Guarddog icon should appear in Gnome menu or in settings/administration menu with root (!) rights so that it pops up a dialog for su password automatically.

Guarddog icon is now in menu but with normal user rights.

Please add an entry to the start command that Guarddog is started with super user rights. Otherwise Guarddog makes not much sense.

Guarddog is written with kdelibs, I think it should be runned with kdesu instead of gksu, if that change is really necessary.

Is this symptom still reproducible in 8.10 RC or later?
