Bug Description

I have a Win XP / Ubuntu 7.10 (latest 25.09.2007) dual boot system. On the NTFS partition there is a folder containing 184 mp3s but Ubuntu only see 158 of them. The same bug occurs on my other machine too which is a Vista / Ubuntu system. Complete folders cannot be seen on that.

I just found out that the files Ubuntu doesn't see have special characters in their name. The Hungarian special characters are: í é á ö ő ü ű ó ú.

This is an Ubuntu boot time configuration problem. The locale environment is set only after the NTFS partition was mounted which is too late: http://ntfs-3g.org/support.html#locale3

Thanks for your help, i was able to mount my NTFS partition properly. Is there a way to make ubuntu mount it with -locale=hu_HU.UTF-8 option automatically?
