Bug Description
Hello,
I am using redshift in 15.04. redshift:
Installé : 1.9.1-4ubuntu1
Candidat : 1.9.1-4ubuntu1
Table de version :
*** 1.9.1-4ubuntu1 0

I have decided to struggle for good with this program, and squeeze it, as since I have known it a few years ago I have never been able to use it in Ubuntu. (In Archlinux where I have met with it first it was easy to configure and worked right away).
I had contributed to bug #888661

and I had given up at that point, but I'm not over with it yet! ^^
I feel more comfortable for struggling since the last time, especially as I have found some docs to help. So what comes with the redshift package is a "help" and a "man" and a "texinfo" which are of little help as the precise syntax isn't provided, for the main information needed (ie: in Archlinux, the line "latlon=
What we need is at least a first configuration file with the right syntax that we can adapt to our situation. We aren't all developers right?
So here I enclose a configuration file which works for me, and I would request kindly something of the kind (this one is good, or you can add even more comments to suggest examples) be added to the package in some usual place of the system where it can be found.
It uses the manual method. At this point I have not found how to use the geoclue packages, and which one is best to pick up in the list, although I tried the first choice which is geoclue 0.12.99-4ubuntu1. When I try some command lines, it states it can't find a provider. I haven't digged that part yet.
Then, now at least, redshift started from the console, it works! \o/
That's a start, I'm not finished, as I'm heading to the redshift-gtk package bug section to report another one.
Best regards,
Mélodie
