Firewire camera not detected, works with other aps

Bug Description

Binary package hint: cheese

When using a firewire camera, Cheese reports it didn't detect it " UNABLE TO FIND A WEBCAM. SORRY!".

Here's output from a console :

I'm having the same problem with my built-in notebook webcam (MSI-1221). The webcam worked with Feisty, but it's not detected under Gutsy or Hardy Alpha 4.

After updates to Hardy on 15 Feb (2.6.24-7 kernel), webcam is detected and Cheese works!!!
