xserver-xorg-video-via does not show tooltips properly

Bug Description

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-via

xserver-xorg-video-via and the GTK tooltips do not show up properly in Gusty 7.10 (2007-09-26).

I'll attach a screenshot.

It was working since Tribe 3 until last week or so. I noticed that the xserver-xorg-video-via package has not been updated since May, so this possibly applies to the GTK tooltips.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with the latest development release of Ubuntu? (ISOs are available from cdimage.ubuntu.com)

If it remains an issue, could you also attach a new /var/log/Xorg.0.log?

The output of lspci -vvnn would also be worth having.

I last installed 8.04 on this computer a while back. I haven't seen it since, but 8.04 worked perfectly fine.

You may close this ticket because to my best judgement, it has been fixed.

I will reopen if I see this occur again.
