Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox

On gutsy beta, sometimes when switching between tabs, firefox looses focus.

I am using compiz. I am not sure if firefox has lost focus or the title bar has just greyed out, but something is wrong.

I am not sure what is up here, but I am experiencing titlebar corruption on creation of a new tab, switching tabs, and the tab title changing. I don't think that firefox is loosing focus, or if it is it is regaining it so fast that compiz is having problems. I am attaching two screenshots of the titlebar corruption. This is not consistent, but it happens very frequently.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, this compiz package is not from the official Ubuntu repositories, and as such is not supported here. I am experiencing the same thing. I'm using Compiz Fusion (I believe) and Nvidia proprietary drivers (I don't know the version).

Firefox-2.0 will not get a fix for this bug, If you still see this in firefox-3.0 and compiz please file a new bug against firefox-3.0 and copiz if its official buid from ubuntu

It wasn't losing focus, it was a bug in the decorator. We've worked around this in hardy.

I'm getting similar corruption in Hardy (8.04) when switching/creating tabs after upgrading the NVIDIA driver from 169 to 173.14.05.
