Bug Description
Ubuntu feisty 7.04 recognizes my sound card, however it does not work. No sound. I get sound from windows vista (dual-boot setup).

and use the sound script as well as edit the right spot in alsa-base make sure you have build-essential installed got mine working in feisty but no suck luck with gutsy so wait a few on upgrading. I also compiled alsa 1.0.16 and that still didn't fix it for gutsy either. Must be something special about the gutsy kernel that's what people seem to be blaming it on. If someone smarter than me figures it out for gutsy with the current kernel by all means post it.
