Bug Description

Hi, this happens in latest Gutsy beta with Compiz (and using option "session restore").

In Compiz, when I leave just *one* window opened, strange things can happen at session restore.

When the window is Nautilus, the window is restored at next login (is shown briefly) and then hidden by the wallpaper photo; the window is not minimized, but hidden "below the carpet". See attached screenshot.

When the window is gedit, sometimes it's shown, sometimes not.

Also, sometimes the bottom panel is not shown.

However both the window and the panel are there: just click with the mouse anywhere in the desktop, and the window (and panel) are shown normally.

All this seems like LP bug #140913, "session save/restore does not work".

I'm using a radeon 9600 XT video card, with the free -ati driver (everything in Compiz works mostly ok and smoothly).

Hope it can be solved, as session restore mostly works in Metacity and is a cool feature.
