Bug Description

It is currently a nightmare to run Jack and Ardour, and a real pain to configure, and I have to enter my password all the time, just to load Jack.

I want to switch all my music associates over to Ubuntu and Jokosher, but until it is easier to setup, and works better that is impossible.

You may not think recording music is all that important to Linux adoption, but nearly half of the machines that I administer require it.

If Ubuntu is ever going to be a first tier OS that more than a gross minority of people use, this needs to be addressed.

You would have a far better chance of getting stuff fixed if you helped by contributing patches, and doing testing for the various projects. This bug, in itself, is offensive and useless. Ubuntu, and it's programs are done by volunteers for the most part - they are not required to do your bidding, unless they wish to. If you write your bugs such that you think they are, you will be ignored.

Closing, due to offensiveness, and uselessness (and the fact that it's pointless to track meta-bugs like this, this way)

I am CLEARLY not a programmer, and this is CLEARLY not a helpful
response. If you want Ubuntu to be Linux for humans, than I suggest
talking to me like a human and not giving me the same blanket response
and deleting all my bug requests. I filed one GIANT bug report, and one
of the people in charge told me to submit them separately. So I did.
It took time out of my already busy schedule, and most of my suggestions
are very good. I didn't write anything offensive. But now I'm going
to. You're a jerk. Go be a jerk somewhere else. You're not helping
this project, unless you want people to think it is put together by a
bunch of jerks.

All of my bug reports are legitimate, and at LEAST should have been put
in the wish list category. I'm submitting official complaints about you
every where I can.
