If NTFS Partition fails to mount; you log in and out repeatedly

Bug Description

If a NTFS hard drive fails to mount when booting the Gutsy Live CD; when you try and log in, it logs you back out and logs you back out and it does this continually.

At a minimum, we need:
1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the problem,
2. the behavior you expected, and
3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).
