Bug Description
Binary package hint: nessus-plugins
With nessus-plugins 2.2.9-1 (current gutsy)
$ sudo nessus-
An unknown HTTP error occured (http error code: 404)
E: Could not retrieve the plugins MD5
Aborting
$ sudo nessus-
The program 'wget' can not be found or executed
Please configure this script by changing the option
$fetch_cmd or by installing wget

I was able to replicate this bug.
The fix appears to be to modify a line in the '/usr/sbin/ nessus- update- plugins- gpl' script. The fetch_cmd option should be changed from simply calling wget to 'fetch_ cmd="/usr/ bin/wget" ' using the absolute path. Once this change is made, the updates proceed without issue.
