Default browser button check doesn't work

Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox

When I press the button un firefox preferences to set firefox as the default browser in Kubuntu Edgy nothing happens.

if you are still using firefox-2.0 maybe install firefox-2-gnome-support package and see if it helps. We are not able to fix this in firefox-2.0 due to it doesnt fit SRU requirements and 2.0 is nearing end of support very soon
