Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. What kind of graphic card does it have? The full output of 'sudo lspci -vvnn', as an attachment to your bug report, would be quite helpful. Thanks in advance.

Having the exact PCI ID of your graphics card, which is obtainable via 'sudo lspci -vvnn', would be very helpful.

The following packages are in a broken state:

This may be due to using an old installer image, or it may be due to a bug
in some of the packages listed above. More details may be found in
/var/log/syslog. The installer will try to continue anyway, but may fail at
a later point, and will not be able to install or remove other packages
(possibly including itself) from the installed system. You should first look
for newer versions of your installer image, or failing that report the
problem to your distributor.

I'm not sure how your last message is related to this bug report regarding your video card. However, it seems that your system had a problem connecting to archive.ubuntu.com to get that package. I might try using a different mirror if you are unable to regularly connect to archive.ubuntu.com.

What video driver are you using? Are you using the open source ati driver of ATI's fglrx driver? Thanks in advance.
