Bug Description

The Gutsy Gibbon 7.10 beta i386 desktop CD booted and operated acceptably on an IBM xSeries 235, but had trouble ejecting the CD before reboot.

I selected the red power icon in the upper right-hand corner of the screen and chose reboot. The system closed out and gave me the logo with the blue text advising me to press enter to continue rebooting. When I did so, the system came back up into ISOLINUX from the CD that was in there before. It seems that the drive could not eject, so I had to manually tell it to boot off the hard drive from the CD boot menu.

Hi Nick,

Sorry for the delayed response. The Hardy Heron Alpha series was recently. You can download and try the new Hardy Heron Alpha release from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/hardy/ . You should be able to then test via the LiveCD. If you can, please verify if this bug still exists or not and report back your results. General information regarding the release can also be found here: http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/ . Thanks.
