Bug Description

Kubuntu Gutsy beta amd64

Qtparted crashes when trying to access PATA drive. Can access SATA drive on same system fine. Found the following entry in /var/log/messages

Oct 3 12:30:37 x2-3800 kernel: [ 8161.937857] qtparted[18770]: segfault at 00007fff790b7370 rip 000000000042eabf rsp 00007fff76173160 error 4

Is this possibly related to the crash problems with Gparted?
Perhaps a problem with libparted?

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue for you. Please be reminded that Gutsy has read end of life. Can you try with the latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.
