Boot up hangs with blank screen - Toshiba Equium 197-L20

Bug Description

As summary - blank screen on boot up after usplash.
Gutsy daily build 3/10/07.
Happens on both live cd and alternative install.

Nope.
Can boot beta in recovery mode - but startx brings up the blank screen.

Getting the same problem. I have an Equium L20, 1.40 Ghz, 2GB RAM, 40GB HDD with Win XP. Starting Live CD with 7.10 (burnt 19 Oct) stops just after usplash. Hard drive and CD both stop. Live CD works fine on a Dell Dimension 5150.
