Kubuntu KDE splash artwork doesn't get updated

Binary package hint: kubuntu-default-settings

If you update from Feisty, the old splash remains, although the color of some lines changes a bit. It seems it's the splash background.

I can confirm this bug. The Background.png symlink in /usr/share/apps/ksplash/Themes/ points to the new wallpaper. But Preview.png is the old one and the description in Theme.rc is still "Kubuntu Edgy Splash". It looks quite strange having the new wallpaper in KDM login and then the old one. It's just not smooth.

Then please just mark it "Fix released".

From looking at the "artwork/ksplash" in the Ubuntu source package, it seems to need cleanup. I'll just note here my findings:
1. artwork/kdm-theme-no-userlist/preview.png includes userlist
2. All [Pp]review.png files (and meta files) need updates

Hello!
I just experienced this bug while upgrading a machine from feisty to gutsy.
Reinstalling the package kubuntu-default-settings didn't fix the problem. I don't understand what exactly is the problem.
I can provide additional system information, if it is needed.

Intrepid doesn't use any custom splash graphics, (it uses KDE defaults) so this is fixed.
