After last update,Xorg can't want to start

Bug Description

Before 10 min. i perform update on my Ubuntu 7.10.After update complete i restart system and then....nothing Xorg don't want to start.
I write this issue from 7.04 LiveCD.

Thank you for reporting this issue in Ubuntu. Unfortunately you have failed to provide any information that will help to debug it.

Please explain what the problem is in detail. Also you must attach your /etc/X11/xorg.conf and /var/log/Xorg.0.log, as well as the output from lspci -vvnn.

Sorry,i forgot to explain.
In detail ... this night before i go to sleep,start update my system with latest updates.This morning when i get up,updates are successfully installed,and new updates are appeared.Then i apply them too and restart system....and no success.I replace my xorg.conf with xorg.conf.1 but still nothing.

I can confirm this problem.
X won't start after rebooting my Dell Inspiron 6400 notebook.
Using the failsave tool I changed from the restricted "nvidia" driver to the free "nv" driver and X starts again without problems.

The failsave tool changed my keyboard layout from "de" to "us" which was a little annoying, when I tried to enter my username and password.

I login in my system finally,but with kernel 2.6.22-12 ,with 2.6.22-13 (that come with latest updates) i have got error reporting above.
Attach my Xorg.0.log and output from lspci -vvnn. I hope that this is enough to fix problem.

I can confirm this, too. I switched back to kernel 2.6.22-12.

Now everything is OK after yesterday late update.
