Bug Description

Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.22

I don't think this is a dup of #125925, becuse this is only with 2.6.22-13 (-12 worked fine). I get "Kernel panic - not syncing: IO_APIC + timer doesnot work! Try using the 'noapic' kernel parameter". The workarounds works, but this was a little startling.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Can you also attach the log file which captures the actual kernel panic you see? You can usually find this in something like /var/log/kern.log.0. Also, the 2.6.22-14 kernel was just released. Care to verify this is still an issue with this newest kernel? Thanks in advance!
