Deskbar applet freezes any time whatever I ask

Bug Description

When I hit ALT+F3, the deskbar is shown (in its new awful window... why has it been changed ? was much better in mac-like style), and I can start to type. But after a few letters, nothing has been shown, and the deksbar freezes... It just freezes until I kill it (I left it several hours without a result).

Looks like that : http://hyperthese.net/Bordel/deskbarfreeze.png (exactly that, I don't have any interactivity anymore with the deskbar, and if I put a window over, it is not redrawn).

This bug does not use additional CPU (no 100% used CPU at all), and I've noticed some changes if I use the "Search selection when triggering the shortcut" : it still does not show any result and freezes, but it waits until the mouse goes over the window to freeze...

It seems like I might have the same problem. Whenever I type something, let's say 'Documnts'. And because it's misspelled I hit backspace to correct it, but then Deskbar freezes.

Similarly, I have to kill deskbar-applet to make it reload. One other thing is that when I move the cursor over the input field it 'disappears' -- very strange.

I have tried to run it from CLI to get any errors messages, but no luck. It doesn't tell me anything.
