Bug Description

After the LiveCD boots and the brown intermediate screen appears, my monitor enters powersaving mode. When I move my mouse, my monitor turns on again. This problem started appearing in the Oct. 6 (maybe 5th) daily-live build and continues into Gutsy RC. My monitor is an hp pavilion mx75 and to my recollection, I have not had this problem before with any other Ubuntu release.

I get the same problem on the Kubuntu 7.10 RC live CD. I hear the start music but my main monitor is on standby (the other one shows rubbish as it always has without the nvidia driver). When I move the mouse it comes out of standby and everything works fine. I don't have this problem with the Kubuntu 7.04 live CD.
