Bug Description

Binary package hint: geneweb

not possible to create a database (necessary for using geneweb) because ged2gwb doesn't have permission to write the db file to the geneweb folder, error message is "Base is locked: cannot write it" (after using chmod on geneweb folder it works).

Example
ged2gwb -f /home/username/geneweb/username-pgv.ged -o username-pgv

Tried in Gutsy.

Command generates by gwsetup is not translated properly:
./ged2gwb -fne '""' -f /home/rnx/nf8g.ged -o nf8g > .
comm.log is not present: i.e.
./ged2gwb -fne '""' -f /home/rnx/nf8g.ged -o nf8g > comm.log
and I needed to remove ./
so
ged2gwb -fne '""' -f /home/rnx/nf8g.ged -o nf8g > comm.log
but even if nf8g.gw and comm.log are in my directory gwsetup see nf8g but
give me : FOUT
Databasis ontoeganklik "nf8g" not in french:

Other minor error:
no images in gwsetup in http://127.0.0.1:2316/
but in copying /usr/share/geneweb/doc/images in my directory solve display of flags ..

The original bug submitter should read /usr/share/doc/geneweb/README.Debian instead of messing up with directories permissions.

This bug should be closed as user error.
