Bug Description

I have a Compaq Presario M2000 Laptop running Kubuntu 7.04.
If I plug it into the TV using the S-video output play a video (using Xine), and then return to normal desktop use - the next time I suspend, when it resumes, the X server crashes, and I find myself back at the terminal login screen for TTY1.
If I do Ctrl-Alt-F7 then I get the X login screen.

Suspend usually works fine.

To reproduce
1) Login to Kubuntu
2) Plug S-Video cable into TV or similar.
3) Use <Fn>+<F4> to switch video output to the TV
4) Play a video using Xine (using Xv driver)
5) Unplug S-Video
6) Use <Fn>+<F4> to get desktop back on LCD.
7) Suspend to RAM
8) Resume laptop (by opening the lid)
9) X server has dumped me to the console.

I'll attach my X server log.

uname -r gives
2.6.20-16-generic

This is the log from the X session that crashed (ie I got it from /var/log/Xorg.0.log.old after resuming and logging back in)

The output of
dmesg | grep -v TKIP

(I used grep to remove a lot of noise generated by my wireless generates a lot of noise)

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. This bug did not have a package associated with it, which is important for ensuring that it gets looked at by the proper developers. You can learn more about finding the right package at [WWW] https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. I have classified this bug as a bug in xserver-xorg-video-i810.
Could you please recheck it with the Kubuntu Gutsy Gibbon 7.10 Live CD? It is shipped with a new Intel driver which might fix the problem.
