[gutsy] compiz: I can't move or resize windows

Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

using: kubuntu gutsy (07/10/07)
video card: ati radeon 7000
driver video: "ati"

I can run compiz with emerald decorator:

the compiz run good but I can't move or resize any window of any aplication, either I can't no move using "alt+click" under window, no way I can't move or resize. the same happen using kde-window-decorator

When trying to activate the effects in ubuntu:

Checking for Xgl: present.
Checking for nVidia: not present.
Checking for Xgl: present.
Enabling Xgl with nVidia drivers...
Starting emerald
/usr/bin/compiz.real (core) - Error: Couldn't load plugin 'core'

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Could you please add your ~/.xsession-errors, /var/log/Xorg.0.log and the output of lspci -vvnn to your bug report as separate attachments? Thanks in advance.
