Gutsy Beta crashes randomly on Dell D810

Bug Description

After installing Gutsy Beta, or still while on the LiveCD (Gnome environment), I get some random system freeze for which the only solution is a forced system reboot; the last one completely corrupted my partition and now I get a kernel panic at startup because the root FS can't be mounted...

Thanks for your bugreport.

What graphic card do you have in your system? Could you please attach the content of ~/.xsession-erors after fresh login (e.g. from the live CD)?

Thanks,
 Michael

PS: removing all the desktop effects seems to prevent crashes (which usually occur after a few minutes of usage - last time was when resizing a terminal).

I haven't had any crash in a long time since the official Gutsy release (and I forced Compiz with the ATI card). I guess this bug could be closed.

Thanks,

Vivien
