Clean install isn't working on Dell's D630

Bug Description

I can't install Ubuntu 7.10.x on my Dell Latitude D630.

specs:
Intel dual core 2.1 GHz
Nvidia quadro nvs 135m
2G Memory
Motherboard intel chipset 965

I tried to install from CD 7.10 from tribe 4 till beta(6?) but they all failed.

Why?

yes all possibilities.
user desktop cd and alternate cd

Could it be one of the following hardware that gave problems?

Broadcom nextreme 54xx Gbit controller
Intel pro/wireless 3945abg

Seems to be installing OK for me from alternate CD - please provide more info about what you experience.
