Volume control jumps around with mousewheel

Bug Description

If you use the mousewheel and quickly rotate it on the volume control applet, the volume jumps up and down in an inconsistent fashion. However, if you turn the wheel one click at a time, it changes in a more regular fashion.

A bit of experimentation suggests that it's actually jumping down to mute sometimes, and does it more the faster the mouse wheel turns.

Thanks for your report, however the bug isn't really clear to me, if i quickly rotate the wheel i get a volume up and down and not a "jumping", not be confirmed by someone else getting the bug. thanks.

If it makes any difference, I'm using the applet to control PCM volume. It's pretty constant. What I got it doing yesterday (it's hard to tell, but this is what it looks like), is that I turned the volume down one wheel-click and it went from 76% to 0%, and then up one click and it went from 0% to 76%. But that's not the normal distance, so for some reason it's as if it thinks it should be muting. I guess, it's hard to figure out.
