Bug Description

My Laptop is a HP NX7000 with 2 partition dadicated a XP and Ubuntu 7.10 with 512MB RAM and 1GB swap size.

When I press Hibernate choise on power icon then computer seems to go in Hibernate state but after 10 seconds c.a.it resumes and the screen is black with the request for my password. I reply coorectly and all is ok.

BUT then under power icon appears a generic message of error during Hibernating phase.

The stand-by phase instead runs correctly.

The problem occured after modification of swap partition (size). The UUID in INITRAMFS od SWAP partition was wrong; now it correct and

the situation now is changed.

When I press Ibernate botton on Power icon then Ibernation starts but on the screen appears an error message:

ATA 1.00 revalidation fail errno=1 .

I restart the system with LIVECD and Gparted and then the swap partition file system state is "UNKNOWN".

Then I reinitialized the swap partition and restarted the system.

After your message I install USWSUSP but no valid swap file found and after command S2DISK I receive such message:i

s2disk: Could not stat the resume device file. Reason: No such file or directory.

Any suggestion?
