what is the exact command? it should be "firefox %s", if it's set to /usr/lib/firefox then that's a duplicate of a known firefox issue, it's setting the wrong value when it asks if firefox should be the default browser

Ah, you are right. I changed it to "firefox %s" from "/some...path/firefox %s" and the problem went away.

reaassigning to firefox and closing then since that's a duplicate, that might be fixed in gutsy already
