Bug Description

Binary package hint: openoffice.org-base

Openoffice doesn't display german Umlaute ö and ä wenn the bitstream vera sans bold font is used. In the previous version, there was no such problem.

This may be besides the point.

But Bitstream Vera is unmaintained.

DejaVu is a maintained and updated version of Bitstream Vera.

Thank you for the quick reply.

The same problem occurs with Deja Vu Sans bold (only sans, not sans mono or serif and only if bold).

I am unable to reproduce this problem on Ubuntu 7.10 OpenOffice 2.3.0. Can you please try with the new version and let me know if it solves your problem?
