Binary package hint: gnome-panel

Hi

Since yesterday the nice Cube-effect doesn't work anymore on my unbuntu-notebook.
When I try to enable it "System > Preferences > Desktop Effects" then the Workspaces a reduced to one and the effect isn't working.
The "wooble-effect" works.
This problem appears since I tried to install the original ATI-Driver. But my screen flickers with this driver, so I removed it. ("Restricted driver manager")
After that, the "Cube-effect" was gone.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the development release - Hardy Heron. It would help us greatly if you could test with it so we can work on getting it fixed in the next release of Ubuntu.
