I think that the problem is in xorg or glxinfo or
something related. You you run glxinfo the system
hung-up for a while too, and I know that wine need it
to determine glx capabilities.
But I can't find because it doesn't raise any message,
the system completelly hung-up, Ctrl-Esc, Alt-F2,
nothing works, you need to hard reset the machine.
I don't think that the problem is in wine.

This is likely a problem with old video drivers, not Wine itself.
