Bug Description

I'd like to setup compiz to switch desktop to the left on: <Super>Button4 (Mousewheel). This does work with the "plane" plugin. It *doesn't work* with the "cube" or "table" plugin. Using these, nothing happens when using the mouse wheel while pressing the "windows" key. Up-to-date Gutsy

I don't think this is a wishlist item. This really _should_ work, and did work in earlier versions (and does work now in other distrbutions, AFAIK).

This is, I think, a problem with compizconfig-settings-manager. CCSM won't write the relevant gconf setting, but it works alright if you set it manually, like this: (rotating when using the mouse wheel at the screen edge)

gconftool --type=list --list-type=string --set \
 /apps/compiz/plugins/rotate/allscreens/options/rotate_left_edge \
 [Top,TopRight,Right,BottomRight,Bottom,BottomLeft,Left,TopLeft]
gconftool --type=left --list-type=string --set \
 /apps/compiz/plugins/rotate/allscreens/options/rotate_right_edge \
 [Top,TopRight,Right,BottomRight,Bottom,BottomLeft,Left,TopLeft]
gconftool --type=int --set \
 /apps/compiz/plugins/rotate/allscreens/options/rotate_left_edgebutton 4
gconftool --type=int --set \
 /apps/compiz/plugins/rotate/allscreens/options/rotate_right_edgebutton 5

So this is a bug, not a wishlist item. Could someone appropriately privilleged change this as well as the package assigned to this bug? Description of a work-aroung here: http://www.webdevout.net/tidings/2007/10/19/how-to-enable-edge-mouse-wheel-rotate-in-gutsy/

Done. Note that you can change the package yourself, just click in the arrow besides the status or the importance and change it.

compizsettings is a different (obsolete) project. It's actually where the idea for the look of ccsm came from though so I can understand the confusion.
