Bug Description

Applications which use a video overlay, such as totem or other video playback applications have the overlay buffer ruined when compiz is running. Initially the window opens and plays but any interaction that would cause compiz to draw the non client areas of the window cause the overlay to change to random data or an all solid color or anything but the video playback or visual effect for audio. I have an athlon64 and an ATI Radeon x850. Disabling compiz fixes the issue. This is tested on the tribe3 livecd.
