Synaptic waits for input at terminal without notice while removing running kernel

Bug Description

When you try to remove the currently running kernel, at the point synaptic says
it is preparing for removal of the package, there is a warning message and a
question if you want to continue removing the running kernel at the terminal.
However, no dialog box pops up, and if you don't click on the terminal view you
will think it is still busy preparing.
(This was on a fresh hoary install)

Thanks for your bugreport.

This is a symptom of the fact that the kernel does not use the debconf
configuration system to ask it's questions. Fortunately there aren't that many
situations when questions are asked, but this is something we need to fix in the
future.
