Please backport liberasurecode to precise:

http://packages.ubuntu.com/xenial/liberasurecode1
http://packages.ubuntu.com/xenial/liberasurecode-dev

The .debs have already been verified to work on precise (amd64).

Also, please sync https://packages.debian.org/sid/python-pyeclib to xenial and backport it to precise.
