Binary package hint: displayconfig-gtk

I tried installing Gutsy on my workstation. In this workstation I use a triple-monitor configuration, using 2 dual heads nvidia boards. Trying configuring them using the new displayconfig-gtk was impossible, I had to import my old hand-made xorg.conf configuration file.

Thank you for reporting this bug and for your efforts to make Ubuntu better. As Xorg has improved this past year, an unfortunate side effect of these improvements is that it has rendered several design assumptions in displayconfig-gtk obsolete. So, starting with Hardy we are no longer putting displayconfig-gtk forth as a primary configuration tool, and are putting our development focus into the Screen Resolution applet. Further, the nvidia driver replaces a *lot* of the functionality of the X-server, and so is considerably different from xorg, making troubleshooting that much harder. As a result, we do not plan to fix this bug and thus are closing it.
