Bug Description

I have a Dell Inspiron E1505 with default hardware configuration, and am trying to hook it up to an NEC projector. It displays on the projector, but it's in black and white... I can't quite understand why. Anyway, any help would be appreciated.

I don't think it recognizes it as an error, though. It works, it's just black and white.

Hmm, I don't see evidence of the projector in either log file. Could you explain how you're doing the connection? E.g., are you plugging it in after booted up, or connecting and then rebooting? Also, are you connecting it to the VGA port, or S-Video, or something else?

Please also provide the exact model for the NEC projector, the output from xrandr both with the projector connected, and without, and attach your /etc/X11/xorg.conf.

Closing as out of date, due to lack of response.

I also have an E1505 and have tested it quite a bit with various projectors (maybe not exactly the same model as you) and have found it works pretty much problem free with projectors, so I *think* the issue is resolved.

In any case, if you still experience the problem, feel free to reopen this bug with some additional information.
