Bug Description

Binary package hint: vino

I have two computers running gutsy. When I open a remote session using vino and vncviewer, I can't see everything correctly in blender, e. g. the menu isn't shown on the local vncviewer. Or when you want to select something typing b, the selecting cross isn't shown.

I haven't yet checked if this bug is there when you use (tight)vncserver and viewer, and whether it is only a problem with gutsy.

Blender is the only application where I have found this kind of bug.

Thank you for your bug. Not confirming, setting low importance that's a specific usecase and not really a severe issue. Do you use the desktop effects option? Does it make a difference?

Thanks for the comment about desktop effects, because when I activate them, I can see everything.

In fact it seems to be a issue of the vnc protocoll, because when I use tightvnc, vncserver or vnc4, blender does not show up at all, not depending on the distribution (I've tested it although with dapper)
