Bug Description

Binary package hint: liferea

The latest liferea (1.4.4) crashes often when you want to view a html-article in the embedded viewer.

These crashes are reproduceable, happend often on the feed from www.tweakers.net, for example the message about Rare developping Perfect Dark (today 09:37) or
about Asus Eee pc (today 16:10): http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/tweakers/mixed/~3/170665178/asus-kondigt-definitieve-eee-pc-modellen-aan.html

Are you sure that's the correct feed url? I've added it, and view all the items, and no error or crash...

Also, can you run liferea from gdb, and tell me where it's crashing? Launch from a terminal
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib/firefox gdb /usr/bin/liferea-bin
Then do 'run'
And when you get the crash, do
'backtrace'

And paste here the output.
Thanks

I am sorry, that was not the url from the feed, it was the page which makes liferea crash.

The url came from this feed: http://tweakers.net/feeds/mixed.xml

I installed liferea-dbg, but unfortunately the program does not seem to really crash, although it stops without my permission (so no backtrace was possible).
However I think the error can give you some information.

I ran gdb and this is the result:
