keep getting notifications of new distribution, though i am at the newest

Bug Description

Binary package hint: update-manager

When I use adept notifier, it keeps on telling me that I can upgrade to 7.10, but I'm already at 7.10. So the update fails.

It started right after I clean installed gutsy.

Same problem here.

Im on a fresh install of Ubuntu 7.10 with KDE installed

Same with my installation of Kubuntu.
Originally installed with Feisty and first upgraded to Gutsy RC2 (can't recall exactly if it was RC2 or later) and later on to Gutsy Final.
