I've been having the same issue on both the 32bit and 64bit versions of Gutsy, on 2 very different systems.

I just upgraded to Gutsy, and now I'm having the same problem.
It appears to happen with any language -- English, Hebrew, Greek. One exception seems to be the ALT module -- if I choose that, it does appear correctly in a second column.

The BibleTime web site (www.bibletime.info) says a new version 1.6.5 is available. "It contains several important fixes in the bookshelfmanager, the sessionmanagement and in the text-display windows." Maybe that fixes this issue. Can Gutsy get this in backports?

Confirmed. Version is 1.6.4.dfsg-0ubuntu2.
To reproduce -- open a translation in a window. Click on the "Select an additional work" icon and choose another translation from the list. Expected behaviour is to split the window into two columns, with the two translations side-by-side. But instead observe that only the first translation continues to be shown.

A similar bug: when a translation is open in a window, click on the "select a work" icon. Choose another translation from the list. The window closes.

I've just built BibleTime version 1.6.5 from the source. It seems to fix this bug. It would be good to back-port this new version into Gutsy, since 1.6.4 is such a feature regression.

I've just upgraded to Hardy, and discovered that Hardy still has BibleTime version 1.6.4. Why have this broken version in Hardy, when version 1.6.5 has been available for months? Frustrating.

Thanks for reporting this issue and helping to make Kubuntu better.

I could not reproduce this issue with the latest version on hardy. Please make sure to test this with the latest version from https://launchpad.net/~txwikinger/+archive and see if it is reporducible.

Thanks again.

Thanks for the link; the version it provides - 1.6.5 - does indeed fix the problem (I built it from source a couple weeks ago). However, the version currently in Hardy's repos is 1.6.4. Any idea when the update will take effect?

As I said, the new version is already in my archive and can be updated for hardy that way (actually version 1.6.5.1). I am not sure if and when it will go into the official repositories for hardy.
